Patrick and Chloe, Owners, Tingle Ridge Farm

About us

Hello! We are Patrick and Chloe, the proud owners of Tingle Ridge Farm. Four years ago, we left our architecture and teaching careers in Perth to become part of the change we wish to see in the world: where you know where your food comes from and how it was produced.

Nestled in the Valley of the Giants, amidst the breath-taking tingle tree country of Western Australia's Great Southern region, our little farm is surrounded by untouched wilderness. It is within this pristine environment that we pasture raise top-quality prime Dorper lamb and hogget throughout the year.

We are passionate about bridging the gap between people and the food they consume, creating genuine connection and ensuring transparency in our farming practises. With this in mind, we are committed to delivering ethically and sustainably raised, nutritionally rich, and absolutely mouth-watering lamb from our paddocks to your plate.

Our animals

Animal welfare is central to all of our decisions on the farm and so we are always pursuing ethical, best-practice methods for caring for our animals.

Our sheep live free range on pasture all year. We regularly rotate them through different paddocks to mirror their natural movement patterns, ensuring they have fresh feed available and that the land is rested between grazings. The only exception is during lambing when ewes are placed in specially chosen lambing paddocks to provide the best shelter and minimise disruption during the lambs’ first few weeks of life.

We specifically choose to raise dorper sheep as they are a vigorous, robust, hair breed which naturally shed their coats without need for shearing, crutching or mulesing. We also choose not to notch ears.

We are in regular contact with our animals and keep a close eye on each individual’s health and wellbeing. Time spent checking and moving our sheep keeps them familiar with us. This, in conjunction with the careful and respectful way we interact with them, makes for low-stress handling and happy lambs.
